The Bengals have looked good the past two weeks, but remember that they played against Kyle Orton, and Aaron Rodgers on a bad day. They don’t have what it takes to beat the well-established Ben Roethlisberger and the proud Steelers who want to establish their dominance in the AFC north.
The Lions are starving for a win and the Redskins are in shambles, lacking confidence and in need of leadership, the Redskins are just the right sized meal for the Lions.
The Rams might as well start scouting college football for the first pick because they are undoubtedly the worst team in the NFL. A young Green Bay team thought they could waltz in last week and be handed the win, they won’t let it happen again.
If anyone knows how to stop running back Adrian Peterson in his tracks its former linebacker great Mike Singletary. The media will try and tell you that this game is about Brett Favre and the Vikings, but this game is really about the 49ers and their return to prominence in the NFC.
This game has the potential to be the game of the week. New England has issues that they need to work out, and you would be silly to think they wont figure it out by the end of the season. With the addition of Pro-Bowler Tony Gonzalez, Matt Ryan and the Falcons are deadly in the red zone. It will be close, but I like the Falcons.
The Titians have a one-dimensional offence and the Jets have one of the better defenses in the NFL. You would be certifiable if you thought Rex Ryan isn’t going to prepare for the Titans run game. However, the Titans are desperate for a win, but I like the Jets offence to score more points than Kerry Collins.
Everyone in the world is talking about Micheal Vick and how it doesn’t matter who the Eagles start because it’s the Chiefs. Remember, the Chiefs were leading in the fourth quarter against the Ravens and Raiders, and were two plays from being praised by the media. Meanwhile the Kevin Kolb led Eagles made the Saints look like the best team in the NFL last week. I may have a biased opinion, but trust me on this one.
The Giants know how to win, plain and simple. The only way the Buccaneers can pull this one off is to wear the throwback orange with the frilly pirate on the helmet and blind the Giants into submission.
The haves verse the have-nots.
.
The Jacksonville franchise has problems off and on the field, and everything that I have read makes it seem like they aren’t getting better anytime soon. On the other had, the Texans are gaining popularity, respect, and wins. This game feels like the symbolic passing of the “worst team in the AFC south” torch.
My boy, Seneca Wallace, looks like he is going to get the start against Jay Cutler and the Bears. I’m jumping on the Bears bandwagon this season, but I will give Seattle and their 12th man the due respect they deserve in what I predict to be a very close win for the Bears.
The unstoppable force verses the Bill defense. I can’t see this one going in favor of the Bills. However, if it were December things might be different.
I think Oakland is improving, but under the current ownership there is a ceiling of possible wins at about seven, and this won’t be one of them. Denver being undefeated after three games should earn them some face time on Sportscenter.
If there is one team in the NFL that is overrated and over-hyped it’s the Chargers. This team looks good on paper, but I get the feeling when I watch them, that they just don’t want to be on the field. The coaching is suspect, to say the least, and even good coaches have a hard time preparing for the wildcat offence. It’s going to be a close one, one in which a good home crowd could win it for their team…
NBC is appropriately marketing this game as “The duel in the desert” and it should be just that. I really think this is the hardest pick of the week. The Colt’s defense is mediocre, and Kurt Warner went Kurt Warner on the Jaguars last week. On the other hand, the Colt’s do have player-coach Peyton Manning. I am split, so I’m going to go use my ask the audience lifeline and pick the Colts.
I’m pulling the plug on the Panthers this season and you should too. Dallas won’t lose two in a row in their brand new monstrosity that some call a stadium.

I agree with you except for the Chiefs, Chiefs have no shot against the Eagles. I think the Patriots are going to pull out a close one against the Falcons, but I wouldn’t be shocked if your Falcons pick is correct either.
Not as good as the first two weeks, but these turned out pretty decent after all. If Frank Gore doesnt get injured first play you gotta like their chances in that one, and if Houston didn’t fumble in the end, that game could have gone either way.
I don’t know who made that post under the “Future of Fantasy” tag, but if it was Doug then yes not as good as your first two weeks, but respectable. But if it was he who shall remain nameless, well I will just leave that alone.
That was me actually. He made it sound like his picks did a lot worse when I talked to him so I was surprised when I saw he picked 11/16
Oh, alright. The Future of Fantasy comment really threw me off
