Riding the Waivers for Week 15

It’s Week 15 so I really hope you aren’t in the position where you have to scour the waiver wire to win your Playoff matchup. If you’re really desperate, then here are some players that could help in Week 15. As always, owned in less than 50% of Yahoo! Leagues:

Brandon Weeden – CLE vs. WAS (13% Owned)
Whoa, I never thought I would stoop this low. I have been very anti-Weeden all year but this is a good spot for him against a very porous Redskin secondary. I really hope for your sake that you don’t have to start a Quarterback owned in less than 50% of Yahoo! Leagues. If you do, Weeden is your man.

Andre Roberts – ARI vs. DET (49% Owned)
Andre Roberts fits the mold for someone that goes off now that a lot of owners have given up faith during the playoffs. Roberts has 91 targets on the year, so you suspect the Cardinals QB to look to him quite often.

Davone Bess – MIA vs. JAC (35% Owned)
If you have read this column all year then you may think I have a weird obsession with Bess. Truth is that he has been very servicable in PPR leagues, and should have another solid game against a below average Jaguars defense.

Montell Owens – JAX vs. NYJ (25% Owned)
I can’t imagine the Jaguars are rushing to get back their injured Runningbacks, MJD and Jennings. There season is over, and Owens now has three more weeks to make a case for his NFL career. Got to like that situation if you’re desperate.

Beanie Wells – ARI vs. DET (44% Owned)
If you were coaching the Cardinals would you let Lindsay or Skelton throw the ball around? No, run the ball, and then run the ball some more. Beanie should get a lot of carries and if the game doesn’t get away from them, he should get even more. Not a bad hit-or-miss option.

Dallas Clark – TB vs. PHI (23% Owned)
Tight Ends are so unpredictable once you get past the top tier, so Dallas Clark may be your best bet if you don’t have a stud at the position. Tampa Bay should be able to pass all over the Saints, so Clark will have a nice day.

St. Louis Defense vs. MIN (28% Owned)
The Rams could be the Seahawks of this week. Okay, that is getting a little carried away, but the Vikings offense has zero explosiveness. It’s either AP for 5 yards, AP for 20 yards or Ponder throwing a terrible pass. I would not be surprised if this one ended in a 7-7 tie.
