Player Spotlight: Danny Granger

Danny GrangerThis kid has some spunk to him that could lead to huge things in the NBA throughout his career. In his third year in the league he has improved his numbers ten fold. Last year when he first started to get minutes he averaged a respectable 13.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Now his numbers are at a very solid 17.6 points, 6 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and a block. Oh yeah, along with those great numbers he is putting in nearly two treys per game and shooting 82% from the charity stripe! The sky is the limit for this guy. The only thing that he does not have is court vision and creating plays for his teammates. This hurts the Pacers but makes no difference for his happy owners. If his game develops as it has in his young career, I see him having no touble averaging 20 points and 8 boards a game with all the other high stats he has already. Granger’s game can be compared to a better rebounding Jason Richardson. Another thing not to take lightly is the fact that it has been said that he is one of the hardest workers in the NBA. For the rest of the year I expect him to average 18.5 points, 6.3 boards, and 2 treys a game with all of his percentages and defensive stats. In next year’s draft he could be a steal in about the fourth or fifth round in your draft. Believe me you would rather have him playing for you than playing against you for the rest of his career.
