NBA ROY Prediction: Tyreke Evans

Tyreke EvansA 6’6 point guard out of Memphis, Tyreke Evans is going to be a star in the NBA.  The easy way-out would be to say that Blake Griffin is going to be the ROY, and I am not going to take the easy way.  Evans has the size and athleticism to be the next Dwayne Wade.  Evans has the almost the same game that Wade did coming out of college, except he doesn’t have the same experience, leaving for the NBA after his freshman year.  If Evans can add a 3pt shot to his already fantastic drive and dish game then he will be a handful for NBA defenders for years to come.  In five games this summer Evans averaged 19.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game,  while getting to the line 10 times per game.  In a game against fellow rookie point guard, Brandon Jennings, Evans got to the line 19 times, scoring 33 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing 7 assists.  Evans already has the backing of the Kings owners, the Maloof brothers, he is primed to get big minutes at point guard in his first year and make an immediate impact in Sacramento.  I could see Evans averaging 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in his rookie year.  I am going to target Evans in all of my fantasy drafts this year and I suggest you do as well.
