Midseason All-Big East

big east

The Big East may very well be the best conference in college basketball. The Big East is a conference that, in my opinion, is overrated most years but, this year, that is not the case. The Big East is going to have 8 teams in the tournament, they will have 7 teams for sure, with a very realistic chance to put 9 teams into the tournament. In my opinion the teams from the Big East that will be in are: Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Marquette, UCONN, West Virginia, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Syracuse. The ninth team from the Big East with a realistic chance to get into the tournament is Villanova. Villanova played a very weak non-conference schedule that led to their biggest non-conference win being against George Mason, if Villanova gets two or three big wins in conference play then they have a very real chance at being the ninth team from the Big East to make it into this years’ NCAA Tournament. With that many quality teams in the conference making midseason all-conference teams for the Big East was a difficult task, but here is what we came up with.
