The Big 12 has the potential this year to place nine teams into the NCAA tournament, the most in NCAA history. The Conference favorites Kansas, Texas, and Texas A&M will keep the league in check, but watch out for the rising young teams Iowa State, Kansas State, and Baylor. What is known for sure is that whoever comes out on top will be considered a serious contender in the upcoming NCAA tournament. This conference continues to produce winning teams because of the great competition and more importantly the elite coaching. Players like Beasley, Durant, and Arthur will continue to be drawn toward the Big 12 because of what it has to offer. Expect a lot of great overtime games and shocking upsets this year in Big 12 conference play.

I know that Bill Walker is technically still a Freshman, but how? He played one semester last year, so one would think that the NCAA would classify him as a super freshman or something. How does his eligibility work? He should only be able to play the first semester his senior year or something. How do you get four and a half years of eligibility without having a medical redshirt?
He actually did get a medical redshirt from the Big 12 last year after getting injured so early. It’s pretty useless though considering he’ll declare for the draft after this year or next year at the latest.
