The news coming out today that Manny Ramirez will be suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball after testing positive for PED’s. I think this solidifies Ken Griffey Jr. as the greatest hitter of our generation. There will be a lot more details on this story released in the next week. For now, we just have to shake our heads in disbelief.

UPDATE: It now appears that the drug he took was HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). This is a hormone that can be taken at the end of steroid cycles, or can be prescribe to treat hypogonadism (lack of functioning of the gonads). Manny claims it is the latter, a medical issue. This sexual enhancement is costing Manny 50 games, and will somewhat tarnish his name. Long story short, Manny may be legit, but don’t count on it.
