As if there was any doubt before who was going to be drafted #1 overall this June, which there wasn’t, Stephen Strasburg solidified his spot at the top with a dominating performance during his final home start. Strasburg racked up 17 Strikeouts on his way to no-hitting the Air Force Falcons.
This is the most hype I’ve ever seen around an amateur pitcher. We may be seeing record signing bonuses. We may also see Strasburg called up as soon as possible in September, so start throwing elbows to solidify your #1 Waiver spot. If he lives up to his hype, then he will certainly be the Nationals ace right away, and will help your fantasy team when it needs it most.
