Dog of the Day: LAA Angels +104 (Joe Saunders)
Why:
- Abreu, Hunter, Kendrick, Napoli and Matthews are a combined 44-118 (.372) Career vs. Millwood, with 13 of those hits going for extra-bases. It will be hard for Millwood to pitch around any of these hitters.
- Blalock, Hamilton, Cruz, Byrd and C. Davis are a combined 7-42 (.167) Career vs. Saunders. This is a smaller sample size, but it makes sense seeing that Texas is merely mortal versus Lefties.
- Angels are 14-2 in Saunders’ last 16 starts as an underdog.
- Rangers are 2-8 in Millwoods’ last 10 starts vs. a team with a winning record.
RESULT: Loss (-1.0 Unit)
