Beginner’s Guide to Daily Fantasy Baseball

1. Find a website to play. Daily Fantasy Baseball is growing, and growing fast. FanDuel is my website of choice, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in Daily Fantasy Baseball.

2. Pick your players. Pick your favorite players, or pick players on your fantasy team, or pick using top players this season. As you progress, maybe try to build your own model for picking players.

Important tip: Your starting pitcher is the most important pick. A Good start from your pitcher can be worth more than twice as much as any hitter. Picking the top pitcher of the day is often what makes the difference between a winning team and a losing one.

3. Monitor lineups and weather conditions. Daily Baseball Data can be your best friend for this one. Daily Baseball Data provides lineups as they are released, hitter vs. pitcher match-ups as well as a weather update for each game.  Losing a player to a weather postponement or losing a guy to a random days rest can be a real buzzkill to your team.
